I had a concerned bride e mail me today, concerned that her dance was going to look to formal or rehearsed.....no worries....let's just make it look like you know what you are doing....
1. Choose a song that has a steady beat...maybe something bouncy
2. Make sure the song fits your personality
3. Don't worry about what everyone else thinks....just do what makes you happy
You aren't going to make everyone happy, so don't try....do what makes you happy. If you like "Everything" by Michael Buble, but your 2nd cousin twice removed doesn't....who cares.....it's YOUR wedding. Don't forget that.

Spotlight
So I was on Facebook today, and saw one of the most beautiful weddings....except.....it got to the part of the first dances.....Bride/Groom, Father/Daughter, and Mother/Son. I watched a clip of all 3 of these dances and they were awful! They stood there, and swayed from side to side. The cake was gorgeous, the flowers beautiful, the venue decorated, but when the spotlight was on the bride and groom...not a soul in the room was paying attention. It was a very sad sight to see.
I want every person in the room paying attention to what you are doing out on that dance floor....whether you do something simple, yet elegant, or go over the top and "Rock the Reception". They spotlight is on...are you ready?
