Black Light Party

We rented out the Studio yesterday for a Black Light Birthday Party.....this was a blast.....we created a personal Night Club scene for Tim's 18th Birthday.

The walls got drapped in BlackVinyl, the Black Lights and Highlighters Came out, and the DJ pumped out the tumes. Everyone stayed on the Dancefloor until it was time to close the party down!

We just had too much fun with the pictures...We had eveyone do a "Dress Up" picture, and a "Rock Band" picture!

Make sure to check out our Facebook page for ALL of the pictures of the party!

Props

When doing a Dance that is Fun (and sometimes a little out there), I always love to throw in a prop or two. Props are a way to add dramatic flair to the dance, and show your personality. Here's a couple of examples of how we've used props.

We are using a Chair sash (like a scarf) in the Feeling Good dance....I told the Bride to use what ever vibriant color she wanted....to just have some fun with it.

In our White Wedding Dance we use sunglasses and a guitar (of some sorts).  We've done this dance several times, and we've seen sunglasses from the 80s, a little girl's PINK guitar, the guitar from a video game....I'd love to get some wild sunglasses from a halloween/party store that were big stars or something that looked like they came from the 70s.

In our Twilight Dance, I have an out fit that looks like the Matrix meets Mrs. Smith and RED eyes (like a really BAD VAMPIRE). I'm having a little too much fun with this dance....I even have a RED wedding Veil for a photo shoot.

Creekside Open House

We met a lot of great brides (and grooms) at the Creekside Open House today. We hope everyone enjoyed the "Rock the Reception" dance, and the preiview of the "Twilight Dance." We look forward to showing you the full version of the Twilight Dance on January 9th at the Bridalife Style showcase at the Marriott.

I'm so excited to get to work with Chris and Erica. They came into the studio with a specific song in mind...."Feeling Good" by Michael Buble. If you haven't heard it......

It's very seductive, and they are letting me go a little overboard  :) How exciting! I'm going to get to have these two seduce each other.....then OFF to their hotel suite.....they won't have to go far, since they will already be at the Skirvin.

Slow Dances

Not every bride wants to dance to Michael Buble or Frank Sinatra. Believe it or not, slow dances are our most popular dance style. These are songs that typically have a really slow tempo, but might have a special meaning for the bride and groom. We use slow dances for First Dances, Last Dances, Father/Daughter Dances, and Mother/Son Dances. We have a tried and tested format that works perfectly with these kind of songs, and best of all.....it's really EASY!

Here are our Top 5 Slow Dance Songs for First Dances:

©       At Last – Etta James
©       Amazed – Lonestar
©       The Luckiest – Ben Folds Five
©       Then – Brad Paisley
